Unique experience! Picked up and dropped at the hotel by excellent guides who ran amusing commentary. The train journey was scenic and very informative, with many photo opportunities. Staff on the train are friendly and efficient. Kuranda is a small pleasant place with many restaurants and shops for every taste and pocket. We loved the chocolate shop and the honey shop. Trip back to Cairns is stunning, high over trees and waterfall. We were little apprehensive at first but it really feels safe and smooth. Both ways we stopped at lookouts. I highly recommend this tour!

great experience till we got to Kuranda. Arrived just before 2pm to find no food available to eat as stores were out of food could not go on boat tour as cableway ceased operation same time boat tour ended. Clearly not a well organised operation between cableway and Kuranda businesses. Got to the cableway at Kuranda to make our way back. Noted Covid social distancing in your group signage in the queue which was great to see. Though my husband and myself were force to share gondola with another couple in the same closed environment no 1.5 m distancing no masks offered. my husband and I got off only to be told by the staff member “ now you will have to wait till the end of the queue” like naughty children we waited for all the other people to get on before we could get back on. Certainly not worth the money or the demoralising way we were treated. I spoke to the manager when we got off only to be told that the Queensland Government approved for them to able to mix groups. As a healthcare worker this doesn’t make sense, socially distance in groups outside but we can put you in a gondola (closed environment) with a couple from a different household within touching distance and breathe onto each other with no masks offered (approved by the Queensland Government apparently).

Had an enjoyable and relaxing day taking a return Skyrail trip from Cairns to Kuranda. The view from the gondolas is lovey and it was a peaceful and fun activity. The two short stops on the way were worth taking to explore the rainforest in a bit more depth and see Barton Falls. Well worth doing!

Loved the views from the train on the way to Kuranda, magnificent views of the rainforest coming back down to Cairns on the Skyrail.

Wonderful way to see the rainforest from the canopy. There are a couple of stops on the way up to Kuranda were you change cable cars and can walk around to discover the rainforest and experience the canopy with the last atop on the way up at the Barton Falls look out.

Disappointing. Train from Freshwater Station delayed - had to wait at hot station for over 2 hours - packed into train - very uncomfortable.

The bus driver Paul that took us to the train station was hilarious. Perfect for that job. We went up on train, so good. Staff were very attentive. Came down on skyrail, amazing. Best day out since we’ve been here. Thank you. Well worth the money.
